A Blessed, but Brief Visit & A Return to God's Mission Field

Hello everyone from Jonathan and Rosemary! Thank you for taking the time for reading our blog today! I, Jonathan, had the pleasure and the blessing to travel to the US and be back in Dahlonega for a couple of weeks. It was a blessing to see family and to have the privilege to share not only with Dahlonega Baptist Church, meeting pastor Charlie Mayberry for the first time in person, but also with pastor TR Myers and Foothills Fellowship and getting to meet with Pastor Michael Rodgers and Stan Kelley of Bethlehem Baptist Church. The opportunity to share what the Lord is doing here in Ecuador with brothers and sisters in Christ and to hear their words of wisdom and encouragement uplifted my spirit to continue onward in the work to which the Lord has called me and my wife Rosemary.

My wife was unable to travel with me and many brothers and especially sisters in Christ expressed their disappointment at not being able to meet her in person. No one felt her absence more than myself as I wanted her to share in meeting all of you and giving her the chance of getting to know my family and friends. But, Lord willing, she will travel with me next year so that you can all get a chance to meet her.

After a short two weeks I returned back to Ambato and I am now getting ready for the English courses to begin next month. Even as I was in the US, my wife was signing up people for the course so we are looking forward to a good number of new and returning students. I am also continuing to serve the Lord through the preaching of His Word. Last Sunday I had the privilege of preaching at Huachi Chico Baptist Church and next week I have the opportunity to preach in the city of Guayaquil at Brisas del Rio Baptist Church. Please be in prayer for us as we travel to Guayaquil and we share God’s Word there. Pray for the English courses and for the students, that the Lord would use these classes, and the Gospel message they hear through them, to bring them to faith in Jesus Christ and salvation through Him.
